Orangeville, ON - David Tilson, the Member of Parliament for Dufferin-Caledon, met with the volunteers who coordinated this year’s Orangeville Income Tax Program, to thank them on behalf of the residents of Dufferin, for their time and invaluable assistance to the citizens of Orangeville and the surrounding area.
The program was organized and administered by 12 volunteers from Orangeville with the support of the CRA. The volunteers told Mr. Tilson they serviced many Local residents during the 2008 program. They also noted the program was hugely successful and that they were able to service everyone efficiently. Mr. Tilson was once again very pleased with the results of the ongoing program and has offered his compliments to all those involved. Mr. Tilson gave honorable mention to Pat Elmore- Administrator of the Orangeville District Senior’s center- who has dedicated hours of her time as the volunteer co-coordinator. Their selfless commitment has lead to the aid of many residents.
When asked about the significance of the program, Mr. Tilson replied, “I’m always proud to meet with people who put the needs of others before their own. The Dufferin region is lucky to have so many willing volunteers”.
