M.P. TILSON SPEAKS TO YORK UNIVERSITY STUDENTS

BOLTON, ON– David Tilson, the Member of Parliament for Dufferin-Caledon, spoke to students at York University’s Osgoode Hall Law School, on Wednesday, March 08, 2006. Mr. Tilson was invited to share his thoughts and experiences in law and politics with the students. When asked about how his background in law prepared him for a career in politics he replied, “a career in law helps to build confidence, as well as understanding procedures and processes. It also greatly assists understanding bills before the House.”

The Osgoode students also asked about his experience as a Provincial Member of Parliament, as well as his current role as the Member of Parliament of Dufferin-Caledon.

Mr. Tilson reflected on his reasons for entering politics and the merits of public service and went on to say, “my experience in public service has been extremely rewarding and I’m very honoured to have served my constituency for so many years and to be continuing my work in the new Conservative government.”
