M.P. Tilson hosts successful citizenship & immigration forum
June 29, 2021

BOLTON, ON – David Tilson, the Member of Parliament for Dufferin-Caledon, hosted his second Citizenship & Immigration Forum, on the evening of June 28, 2006, at the Caledon Seniors Centre, in Bolton. Mr. Tilson invited senior-level representatives from Citizenship and Immigration Canada, as well as representatives from the Canadian Association of Professional Immigration Consultants (CAPIC), to speak on various topics. Topics covered during the evening included: Citizenship and Permanent Residence applications, In-Country and Out-of-Country Sponsorship Applications, as well as related immigration issues.

Many local residents came out to participate in the forum and posed numerous questions to the various guest speakers.

Rogers Cable was also present at the forum and filmed the presentations, to be aired at a later date on local television, as a public service.

When asked about the success of the event, Mr. Tilson said, “This is the second Citizenship and Immigration forum I have hosted and I believe it is an invaluable service to our residents, as the majority of concerns raised in my constituency offices are related to Citizenship and Immigration. It is my hope that this evening has helped people with their questions and to know where to find information and assistance.” Mr. Tilson also went on to state that he hopes to host another forum next year.
