BOLTON, ON – David Tilson was officially sworn in as the Member of Parliament for Dufferin-Caledon on Monday, March 13, 2006, during a ceremony held at the House of Commons, in Ottawa. Mr. Tilson was sworn in by the Deputy Clerk of the House of Commons with his family looking on.

Mr. Tilson was re-elected as the Member of Parliament on January 23, 2006, following a lengthy election which began in November. Before entering federal politics, Mr. Tilson had served as the Provincial Member of Parliament for the area and had also served as a Councillor for the Town of Orangeville.

When asked about making his second solemn affirmation of loyalty to the Sovereign, Mr. Tilson commented, “It’s still very exciting and humbling for me to be here for the second time.
