OTTAWA, ON –
David Tilson, Member of Parliament for Dufferin-Caledon, today added his signature to a banner from the Vimy Ridge Memorial, signed by the students who travelled to Vimy, France with EF Tours, as part of the Canadian delegation for the 95th anniversary of the Battle of Vimy Ridge.

The memorial banner is currently on display in Centre Block in the House of Commons. It also features the signatures of Prime Minister Stephen Harper and the Honourable Steven Blaney, Minister of Veterans Affairs. An offer was made to all Members to add their signature to the banner.

“It’s an honour to be adding my signature to this impressive memorial banner, which is clearly a testament to the strong memory of our Canadian youth in remembering the many sacrifices made by Canadian soldiers during World War I on the Western Front. I commend these students on their dedication to both understanding and honouring the immense courage and tremendous sacrifice made by young Canadians, some 95 years ago.”
