Tilson Hosts 13th Bolton Seniors Expo
BOLTON, ON – David Tilson, Member of Parliament for Dufferin-Caledon, hosted his thirteenth Bolton Seniors Information Expo, together with the Caledon Seniors’ Centre, today in Bolton.
“The topics covered here today are issues of importance to the local senior community, presented by very experienced and immensely knowledgeable experts in their respective fields,” said Mr. Tilson. “It’s been an honour and privilege working with the Caledon Seniors’ Centre to bring 13 seniors information expos to the residents of Bolton and Caledon. I firmly believe it’s been a most useful program to deliver relevant, helpful information to my constituents to assist them in living healthy, active, and engaged lifestyles.”
Members of the Caledon Seniors’ Centre, as well as many local senior citizen residents, attended the event to listen and participate in presentations on four topics: Introduction to Golden Girls Living; Falls Prevention & Home Care; Fitter, Healthier, Happier; and Frauds and Scams……It can happen to you!
Special guest speakers on the selected topics included: Dorothy Mazeau (Golden Girls Canada & Golden HomeSharing Connections); Yogeeta Jhodhan (Bayshore Home Health); Kathryn Mifsud (Caledon Meals on Wheels); as well as Gail Smith (CaledonDufferin Victim Services). Following the presentations, Egan Funeral Home provided lunch for attendees.
Mr. Tilson performed the role of emcee for the event.
