BOLTON, ON – David Tilson, Member of Parliament for Dufferin-Caledon, hosted his twelfth annual Bolton Seniors Information Expo, together with the Caledon Seniors’ Centre, today at the Centre.
“The information shared by the very knowledgeable and experienced speakers who gave exceptional presentations today will surely benefit the local senior community,” said Mr. Tilson. “I appreciate the Caledon Seniors’ Centre working with my office to identify topics of interest and to deliver this valuable program. We’ve been working together to provide relevant and helpful information to help seniors stay healthy, active, and engaged for 12 years and the event continues to grow each year, which is wonderful to see.”
Members of the Caledon Seniors’ Centre, as well as many local senior citizen residents, attended the event to listen and participate in presentations on four topics: Wills and Estates; Quality Living and Dying – The Journey at Bethell Hospice; Internet Safety; and Working Together to Keep Our Senior Drivers Safe.
Special guest speakers on the selected topics included: Patricia L. Sproule Ward (Patricia L. Sproule Ward Law Office); Louise Stinson (Bethell Hospice); Cheryl Sampson (Caledon Seniors’ Centre); as well as Eva Georiou (Serco Canada Inc. (DriveTest)) and Melissa Brabant (Ministry of Transportation). Following the presentations, Egan Funeral Home provided lunch for attendees.
