Government of Canada supports improvements to Mono’s Community Infrastructure

MP Tilson Celebrates Local Benefits of the Community Infrastructure Improvement Fund in Ontario

Mono, Ontario

As part of the Government’s Economic Action Plan 2012, David Tilson, Member of Parliament for Dufferin-Caledon, today announced $83,333 in federal funding for upgrades to the Hills of Headwaters Tourism Centre and Trail Linkage to the nearby Island Lakes Trails.

“Our Government, through the Community Infrastructure Improvement Fund, is demonstrating its continued support for communities across Canada,” said Tilson. “Here in Mono, these local projects will help create jobs and growth in our community.

Through the Community Infrastructure Improvement Fund, the Government of Canada has committed to supporting communities and creating jobs through repairs and improvements to existing community facilities over the next two years. Please see the backgrounder for more information on CIIF.
