Mr. Tilson invited four special guest speakers who provided valuable insight into various programs and initiatives available to seniors. Thursday marked the first time Mr. Tilson brought the Expo to Shelburne, which attracted over 50 seniors to hear the following presentations:

  • Benefits and Services from Veteran Affairs Canada – Presented by Fran Smith, District Nursing Officer, Veteran Affairs Canada;
  • Mobility Made Easy – Presented by Suzanne Mariano, Mobility Consultant, Mackhall Mobility Products;
  • Healthy Hearing – Presented by Mary Young, Hearing Care Councillor, Canadian Hearing Society;

“Seniors from across Dufferin-Caledon have shown interest in this event every year,” stated Mr. Tilson. “It is important that these services are conveniently located and available to all residents in this area. The speakers have always been the reason for this events success, and this year that did not change.”

Following the presentations, all in attendance were provided with a delicious lunch catered by Egan’s Funeral Home of Orangeville.
