David Tilson Hosts Seniors Information Expo in Orangeville
ORANGEVILLE, ON – David Tilson, Member of Parliament for Dufferin-Caledon, today hosted his annual Seniors Information Expo at the Orangeville & District Senior Citizens Centre in Orangeville.
Mr. Tilson, who was emcee for the event, introduced each of the four speakers to the seniors in attendance. “Each year, my office works with the Orangeville & District Senior Citizens Centre to identify topics of interest and concern for our local senior community,” said Mr. Tilson. “Today, we had four outstanding speakers presenting valuable information which assists seniors to be healthy, engaged, and active. Not only is this the aim of today’s event, but also for our Government. Over 70 participants were on hand for these informative sessions.”
Many local residents joined Mr. Tilson at the Expo to hear four presentations on various topics including: home renovations, scams and fraud; mental fitness; and Orangeville history. Special guest speakers included: Lindsay John Croft (The Home Updaters); Constable Scott David (Orangeville Police Service); Shannon Brinkman and Sarah VanDyke (Heritage River Retirement Homes) and Diana Tracey (Heritage Orangeville Committee).
