Government of Canada supports improvements to the Dufferin County Community Infrastructure

MP Tilson Celebrates Local Benefits of the Community Infrastructure Improvement Fund in Ontario

Rosemont, Ontario – Across the country, community centres, cultural centres, ice rinks, swimming pools, and other community projects will soon be improved thanks to support from the Government of Canada’s Community Infrastructure Improvement Fund.

As part of the Government’s Economic Action Plan 2012, David Tilson, Member of Parliament for Dufferin-Caledon, today announced $27,500 in federal funding for exterior improvements to the Dufferin County Museum & Archives facility under the Fund.

“Our Government is committed to creating jobs, growth and long-term prosperity for Canadians through investments in our communities,” said David Tilson. “By improving facilities such as this one, we are helping to boost economic activity and maintain a high quality of life for residents of all ages.

Through the Community Infrastructure Improvement Fund, the Government of Canada has committed to supporting communities and creating jobs through repairs and improvements to existing community facilities over the next two years.
