David Tilson M.P. hosts annual seniors information EXPO with Caledon seniors’ council in Caledon East

CALEDON EAST, Ontario –
David Tilson, Member of Parliament for Dufferin-Caledon, hosted his annual Seniors Information Expo with the Caledon Seniors’ Council, on Friday, November 16th, at St. James Anglican Church, in Caledon East.

Members of the Seniors’ Council, as well as many local residents attended the event. There were presentations on a wide range of topics of interest to local seniors including: food and nutrition; hearing loss; travel; as well as falls prevention. Special guest speakers included representatives from Health First Wellness Centre, Bolton Audiology, Caledon Travel, and Bayshore Home Health.

Mr. Tilson acted as the emcee for the Expo and thanked the presenters for their time and expertise, as well as the seniors for their participation in the event. “Our Government has remain committed to supporting seniors, as they’ve dedicated their entire lives to making invaluable contributions to our country and communities,” said Mr. Tilson. “By offering programs like this one today, we’re ensuring seniors in Dufferin-Caledon have access to timely and valuable local resources, to help them remain informed and engaged members of the community.

Info sessions held at our Annual Info Expo play a vital role in the lives of our seniors,” said Alex Rodrigues, President of the Caledon Seniors’ Council. Keeping them informed on current issues and the goings on help them in their daily lives – truly a must for seniors.”
