Bolton, Ontario — David Tilson, Member of Parliament for Dufferin-Caledon, today announced an investment in Technoject Machinery Corp. from the National Research Council Canada’s Industrial Research Assistance Program (IRAP).

The funding supports an innovative research and development project that will assist Technoject’s ability to handle complex 3D assemblies.

“Our Government is investing in science and technology to create good jobs, strengthen the economy, and improve Canadians’ quality of life,” said Mr. Tilson. “We are supporting Canadian firms that successfully develop innovative technologies and helping businesses bring those new ideas into the marketplace.”

The Next Phase of the Economic Action Plan provided new resources of $80 million over three years to the Industrial Research Assistance Program to support collaborative projects between colleges and small- and medium-sized businesses to accelerate their adoption of information and communications technologies.

This $30,000 contribution will assist the Bolton-based company in studies to predict flow behaviour in injection moulding systems, as well as develop 3D models for hot runner heating systems with the help of a newly hired mechanical engineer.

“Technoject Machinery Corp. needs to apply sophisticated 3D modelling to better advise our customers on mould and tool designs prior to project build,” said Paul Boettger, Owner, Technoject Machinery Corp. “With the generous assistance from the Canadian Government under the IRAP programme, we were able to hire an engineer to facilitate these studies and become more competitive in the plastics injection moulding industry.”

Technoject Machinery Corp. provides the North American Market with unique injection moulding solutions. The company offers a range of products tailor-made for the customer’s applications that are suitable for their requirements. These products include hot runner systems, temperature controllers, and accessories. Technoject Machinery Corp. ensures the success of the client’s project with expert advice and help.
