David Tilson, M.P. & Caledon Chamber of Commerce Host 3rd Annual “Commerce in the Constituency” Event

BOLTON, Ontario –
David Tilson, Member of Parliament for Dufferin-Caledon, together with the Caledon Chamber of Commerce, hosted the third annual “Commerce in the Constituency” for the local small business community. The event was held in the Chamber’s boardroom on Wednesday, November 14th.

Many local small business owners attended the event, which included presentations on: counterfeit money (Bank of Canada); Employment Insurance (EI) updates and the Canada Summer Jobs Program (Service Canada); the Canadian Innovation Commercialization Program (Public Works and Government Services Canada); as well as the many services and programs offered by the Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC).

Mr. Tilson and Chamber Board of Directors Chair, Stephen Owen, officially welcomed everyone to the event. “I’m pleased to be once again working with the Caledon Chamber of Commerce to offer this event to the local small business community,” said Mr. Tilson. “Our Government is committed to creating jobs and economic growth and by providing presentations like these today, we’re helping to ensure small businesses here in Dufferin-Caledon have the necessary tools and resources to thrive and grow.”
