March 10, 2021
BOLTON – David Tilson, the Member of Parliament for Dufferin-Caledon, was pleased when he learned Caledon has been ranked as the “Safest City in Canada” in MacLean’s Magazine’s annual crime ranking of Canada’s 100 largest cities. “This top ranking is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and commitment to excellence by Caledon’s local government, police, fire and emergency services, and many outstanding community groups,” said Mr. Tilson. “Caledon has tremendous community spirit, which has certainly contributed to it receiving this designation for a second year in a row.” Caledon first ranked the “Safest City” in 2008. According to the MacLean’s survey, Caledon’s crime score is 87 per cent below the national average. |
