Tilson hosts 5th Annual Seniors Information Expo in Bolton

BOLTON, ON – David Tilson, Member of Parliament for Dufferin-Caledon, hosted his fifth annual Seniors Information Expo, on Friday, November 27th, at the Caledon Seniors Centre, in Bolton. Local residents and members of the Caledon Seniors Centre participated in the Expo and listened to presentations on several topics of importance to seniors including: E-mailing and Safe Internet Use, Making Homes and Living Spaces Safer, Elder Abuse and Support, as well as Funeral Planning. Special guest speakers included representatives from the FileBank, Handyman to the Rescue, Distress Centre Peel, and Egan Funeral Home. Mr. Tilson acted as the Master of Ceremonies for the Expo and later commented, “We had excellent speakers today covering a broad range of issues relevant to seniors, here in Dufferin-Caledon.” Tilson went on to say, “By providing this service, we’re making valuable information readily available to this group to hopefully help make a difference in their day-to-day lives.” |
