Tilson Welcomes Infrastructure Funding for Amaranth and Grand Valley
OTTAWA, ON – David Tilson, Member of Parliament for Dufferin-Caledon, today welcomed the announcement of federal infrastructure funding for projects in Amaranth and Grand Valley.
“The funding announced for these two projects is welcome news,” said Mr. Tilson. “Working with the province and the municipalities to improve our basic infrastructure always has a positive benefit for residents. It will also create construction jobs in the community. I am pleased to see the three levels of government coming together to get these projects built.”
Infrastructure Canada announced this week that two projects have been approved for a total of $1,771,796 in federal funding. The project in Grand Valley will see the removal and replacement of Bridge 11 on Concession Road 2-3 with $580,496 in federal dollars. The Amaranth project will involve the rebuilding of an 8 km stretch of 20th Sideroad, including the addition of 5.6 km of cycling lanes and the installation of 15 culverts with a federal contribution of $1,191,300.
