PARLIAMENT HILL – David Tilson, Member of Parliament for Dufferin-Caledon, recently welcomed the Greater Dufferin Area Chamber of Commerce to Ottawa.
Lucy Kristan, Executive Director of the Greater Dufferin Area Chamber of Commerce, was in Gatineau, Quebec, for the Canadian Chamber of Commerce’s Annual General Meeting (AGM). The AGM began on Friday, September 24th and wrapped up with a gala, which was held on September 27th.
Mr. Tilson joined Ms. Kristan at the gala, where he welcomed her to the Gatineau-Ottawa area and learned about the various policy discussions covered during the four-day conference and what the outcomes of these discussions mean for local businesses in Dufferin-Caledon.
“It’s most fortunate the Canadian Chamber hosted this event here this year, to allow me the opportunity to welcome and join the Greater Dufferin Area Chamber this evening. I commend the Chamber on the tremendous work and dedication it continually demonstrates on behalf of the local business community in County of Dufferin.”
When asked for comment on the four-day conference, Ms. Kristan stated, “It was great to be able to get together with David. The Canadian Chamber of Commerce meetings were a valuable resource to the Chamber and our members. I will be bringing back many new ideas and programs to give our members an edge in their business and allow them to succeed.”
