BOLTON, ON – David Tilson, the Member of Parliament for Dufferin-Caledon, officially proclaimed Thursday, September 20, 2007 as “National Family Dinner Night,” at the M&M Meats Bolton location. Mr. Tilson was joined by franchise owners, Ken and Anne Rey, for the presentation of his proclamation.
This is the third annual National Family Dinner Night hosted by the retail chain of specialty frozen foods. The purpose of the initiative is to encourage families from coast-to-coast to enjoy a meal together.
Since the inception of this program in 2005, M&M Meats has encouraged thousands of families to sit down and have dinner together. The annual event has also been immensely successful in raising money for the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of Canada (CCFC). In 2006, M&M Meats successfully raised $27,000 on National Family Dinner Night, which helps the CCFC search for a cure for Inflammatory Bowel Disease.
Following his presentation, Mr. Tilson made the following comment, “I commend the tremendous efforts of M&M Meats and all franchise locations across Canada for this fantastic initiative. As a working parent, I know how chaotic daily life can be to sit down together with my family. I encourage all families in Dufferin-Caledon and across Canada to make time for a family dinner today.”
