Orangeville, ON - David Tilson, the Member of Parliament for Dufferin-Caledon, toured the riding during the July 1st holiday to participate in multiple Canada Day events. During his numerous speaking opportunities Mr. Tilson discussed the importance of Canada Day, “Canada Day presents us with the opportunity to express the pride we feel about living in a stable, peaceful and prosperous country that is an object of envy throughout the global community.”
However, the day was not all business for Mr. Tilson who was accompanied by Caledon Mayor Marolyn Morrison and MPP Sylvia Jones in leading the crowd at Downey’s Farm Markets in an exceptional rendition of the national anthem.
In closing, when asked what he enjoyed most about Canada Day Mr. Tilson replied, “Everything! Canada Day is an opportunity to commemorate the past, celebrate the present, and welcome the future of our great nation. With so many terrific events taking place within Dufferin-Caledon, what is there not to enjoy?”
