Orangeville, ON – David Tilson, the Member of Parliament for Dufferin-Caledon, met with the volunteers who coordinated this year’s Orangeville Income Tax Program to Orangeville and District Seniors Center on June 8th, to thank them on behalf of the residents of Dufferin-Caledon, for their time and invaluable assistance to the citizens of Orangeville and surrounding area.

The program was organized and administered by 12 volunteers from Orangeville with the support of the CRA. The volunteers told Mr. Tilson they serviced many Orangeville residents during the 2007 program. They also noted the program was hugely successful and that they were able to service everyone efficiently. Mr. Tilson was pleased to learn of the success of the program and has offered his compliments to all involved. Mr. Tilson gave honorable mention to Pat Elmore – Administrator of the Orangeville District Seniors Center - who has dedicated hours of her time as the volunteer co-coordinator. Her selfless commitment has lead to the aid of many residents of Orangeville.

When asked about the significance of the program, Mr. Tilson replied, “I am always pleased to meet with people who put the needs of others before there own. I am glad to see that so many people care about the welfare of our community.”
