Tilson Commends Community Organization
April 10, 2006

OTTAWA, ON - On Thursday, April 06, 2006, David Tilson, Member of Parliament for Dufferin – Caledon, attended a luncheon hosted by fellow Member of Parliament, Leon Benoit. The focus of the luncheon was to raise awareness for the Canadian Association for Community Living (CACL). On hand at the luncheon were several other Members of Parliament, and the President of the CACL.

The Canadian Association for Community Living is an organization made up of groups with the goal of helping those people with disabilities live a normal and active life in their communities. Attending the luncheon was important to Mr. Tilson because of the connection to his riding.

“The CACL plays a valuable role in our community and I am honoured to recognize the important contributions that they make each and everyday to those who need our help most,” said Mr. Tilson. “Community Living Dufferin should be commended for their service to our country.”

Community Living Dufferin helps support many adults and children with disabilities everyday in our community. “I especially applaud their continued support to those in need in our neighborhood,” expressed Tilson.
