Amaranth, ON - David Tilson, Member of Parliament for Dufferin-Caledon, was welcomed for a tour of marblemedia’s international hit medieval-themed game show, Splatalot.
Since 2010, Amaranth has been home to the set of Splatalot that is currently aired in over 100 countries world-wide. Produced on a 50 acre ranch, the game show features a different group of 10 teen contestants – many from the surrounding area – that compete in three different rounds of obstacle courses in the hopes of being crowned King or Queen of Splatalot.
“It is an honour to have a world-renowned show filmed in this riding and contributing to Canada’s television content” said Mr. Tilson. “The show has not only brought great entertainment to audiences around the world and this community, but it has also been able to employ a wide variety of the area’s businesses, which is just as important.”
Currently shooting its second season, Splatalot airs Tuesdays to Thursdays at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT on YTV and in French on TELETOON French.
