DAVID TILSON RECOGNIZES COMMUNITY LEADER IN THE HOUSE

OTTAWA, ON – David Tilson, Member of Parliament for Dufferin-Caledon, rose in the House of Commons today to recognize community leader, Donald Sproule.

“Mr. Speaker, I stand in the House today to remember a dear friend of our community, Mr. Donald Jasper Sproule, who sadly passed away on December 20, 2008,” stated Mr. Tilson. He then proceeded to recognize Mr. Sproule’s contributions, “In his over 30 years as a pharmacist and owner of Sproule’s Drug Store, in Orangeville, Don compassionately provided countless residents of our community with sound advice and guidance, and always with a smile.”

Mr. Sproule served as a member of the Orangeville Optimist Club for 35 years and was a Board member and volunteer of Hospice Dufferin for several years, and also served his community through his involvement in countless other organizations during his life.

Mr. Tilson recognized Mr. Sproule’s love and dedication to his family and concluded by saying, “Don will be greatly missed, but will always be fondly remembered for his remarkable community service, dedication to his family, and incredible spirit.”
