BOLTON, ON – On Saturday, May 8th, M&M; Meat Shops locations all across Canada celebrated the 22nd Annual Charity BBQ, to raise money to support Crohn’s and Colitis research. The Bolton franchise of M&M; Meat Shops served up hot dogs and hamburgers to meet this year’s national fundraising goal, which resulted in $1,610,000 for the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of Canada (CCFC). Town of Caledon Mayor, Marolyn Morrison, and the Rotary Club of Bolton were also on hand to lend their support to this important cause.
Member of Parliament for Dufferin-Caledon, David Tilson, attended the BBQ and was available for comment, “I commend the tremendous efforts of both Bolton M&M; Meat Shops and the Rotary Club of Bolton on another outstanding year of supporting important Crohn’s and ulcerative colitis research.” “I also congratulate our community on enthusiastically supporting today’s BBQ, despite the cold and wet weather.”
To-date, the M&M; Meat Shops Charity BBQ Day has fundraised $20,010,000 for research to help find the cause and cure for Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis.
