
BOLTON, Ontario – David Tilson, Member of Parliament for Dufferin-Caledon, together with the Caledon Chamber of Commerce, hosted a Small Business Expo at the Caledon Woods Golf Club on Friday, June 11th.
Many local small businesses participated in the expo, where they heard presentations on Federal financing programs for small businesses and recent enhancements to the Employment Insurance (EI) Program for the self-employed. Special guest speakers included representatives from Canada Business Ontario and Service Canada’s Mississauga office.
Mr. Tilson and Chamber President and CEO, Kelly Darnley, officially welcomed everyone. “I’m pleased to be working with the Chamber in bringing valuable information on important services and programs offered by our Government to the business community of Dufferin-Caledon,” said Mr. Tilson. “Small business is the backbone of our economy and our Government recognizes the immense contributions made by this group to Canada’s economic growth and in job creation.”
“The Chamber has continuously worked to provide such services and information to the business community and will continue to do so,” said Ms. Darnley. “We received many inquiries on the topics covered today and appreciate Canada Business and Service Canada joining us today to assist us in our efforts to support the business community.”
